Tournament Information

Location & Venue Details

Age Range: 6U to 18U (See age divisions below)

 

Pre-Registration Deadline: Wednesday, March 27th at Noon

Entry Fees:
$45 Pre-Registration
$55 Late/Walk-in Registration
No AAU or USA Cards are Required!

 

Format: Wrestlers will be placed into 8, 16, 32 or 84-man double elimination brackets with TRUE 2nd. Brackets with 6 or fewer wrestlers will be placed into a round-robin bracket. 

Teammates will be separated when possible (must register under the exact team name)
 

Rules: National Federation High School Rules (modified) 30-minute rest between matches and the maximum number of matches not in effect. Hair code & and fingernails will be enforced by referees. Headgear is optional.

Boys 6U,8U,10U, Girls K-2 & Girls 3-5 Divisions - All Matches 60,60,60
Boys 12U, 15U,18U, Girls 6-8 & Girls 9-12 Divisions - Frontside 90,90,90 & Backside 60,60,60

The Buffalo County Fairgrounds has a Clear Bag Policy implemented for all events. Wrestlers will be allowed to bring in their wrestling bags. Complete details can be found here.

Weight Allowance:
6,8,10,12U Divisions  (+1 pound)
15,18 U Divisions (+2 pounds)
$10 weight change fee at weigh-ins.

2-Day Kid (5-17 years old) - $15

1 Day Kid (5-17 years old) - $9

Coaches

Coaches must have a coach's pass to be on the floor for the Midwest Classic. Coaches Passes are $30 and can be pre-purchased online or during weigh-ins at the event. Teams will receive free coaches passes based on the chart below. Wrestlers MUST BE PREREGISTERED to be counted for free coaching passes, walk-ins or late registrations will not count towards the team total.

Most Falls Awarded: Each Division - Based on the champion with the most falls (including technical falls) in the least amount of time.
